Timber and slat fencing built for the coast
Fences on the coast fail for predictable reasons: posts set in bare soil, zinc-plated screws that rust and streak, and lightweight rails that twist in the first big westerly. We build to avoid all three.
We build hardwood and treated-pine paling fences, horizontal slat and screen fencing, pool-side and side-return privacy fences, and matching gates. We also do repairs: a leaning panel, a dragging gate or a post that's rotted at ground level.
What's included
- Horizontal slat and batten fencing (timber or aluminium slats on timber frame)
- Treated-pine and hardwood paling fences
- Side gates, driveway gates and pedestrian gates
- Fence repairs and post replacement
- Privacy screens for decks, pools and bins
- Staining and sealing

Questions we get asked
Boundary fences up to 2 m generally don't need approval in Gold Coast City or Tweed Shire, but pool fencing and anything on a corner or near a driveway can. We'll tell you if your job falls into those categories.
In both Queensland and New South Wales, neighbours usually split the cost of a standard dividing fence. We can provide a quote you can share with your neighbour.
Timber looks warmer and can be stained to suit the house, but needs re-oiling every couple of years near the beach. Aluminium slats cost more up front and need almost no maintenance. Our fencing blog post compares them in detail.
Let's get it sorted.
